Bringinging in good imageries of Love and Kinship to Masses to cherish them with hope of goodness and nostalgia for the rest of the year.. Can such festivals of Plenty bring down depression ?? Can such festivals bring down the number of people going to Psychiatrists ??
Also see the previous question on the Festivals like Vishu and Deepavali ..
Are they saying the temples cannot be torn down before deepavali, but can be torn down any other day of the year?
How stupid is najib? Doesn’t malaysia have better people to serve in the government? First you have stupid Badawi saying that malaysia is not progressing because malaysia has the other races and not just malays in a multi-racial country, now you have Najib saying this.
Shri V.R.Krishna Iyer says that by winning Nobel Prize for peace Barrack Obama made the white house an eighth world wonder of peace. He further says that he is no longer only an american but a world wonder with a new vision and promise of peace on earth. How a meaningful tribute to obama by a great man. we are happy in celebrating Deepavali and Obama also celebrated Deepavali with all indians.
Lord krishna took incarnation to ruin the demons and establish the dharma. Mr. Barrack obama, your noble incarnation has a purpose – a passion for execution of the termination of terrorism, not by war, or arms but by farewell to blood and iron. yes, i agree the words of the great man shri V.R.Krishna Iyer. can you please share by a few words?

How is u celebrate Eid at ur country?
Like me, at Malaysia we will back to our parents’ hometown and celebarate it will all of our native. Like u all, at morning go to mosque to solat. And then, back we will visit family, friends, enemy etc. Our traditions are new clothes, open house, duit raya ( gift in money ) etc. This year is third years we celebrate together with Hindus because Deepavali at same week with Eid ul Fitr. Eid at Malaysia is something very pleasant becos we will celebrate it for one month ( hehehe… that why Muslim at Malaysia like to celebrate all celebration with their friends either Muslim or non ).
my favourite festival is Deepavali that is on the 9th of November this yr.. wat’s urs?
thanks for answering, )
~~~~~ Happy Deepavali in advance!!~~~~~~
In the festival of lights (or Diwali), I would like to entertain kids with sparklers (because of the lack of serious firecrackers we enjoy back in India). I know firecrackers are banned in California. How about sparklers? I believe they are used a lot in weddings.
being die-hard fans of rajni, both i and my husband are looking forward to it eagerly. some say this deepavali, some say next tamil new year, some say even later than that. i think maybe those of u in chennai have a better idea. (im a malaysian).
anyway im just hoping that shankar wont spoil it the way he did to sivaji. i didn’t like it.
kumar, dont you think something lacked in sivaji? it was like a cocktail of 3-4 storylines in one movie. so obvious that they couldn’t decide on which is the best story and ended up mixing everything but nothing stood out at last. is the story about bribery? or free education? or loophles in the law? or is it about winning over the villain? everything was so mixed up and in the end nothing stayed in my memory. and the final ‘perfect india’ ending scenes were added along with the credit roll, which im pretty sure went unnoticed by many who were already walking out of the cinema. shreya (particularly her clothes) didnt suit rajni’s image. it was like a ‘too many cook, spoil the soup’ movie. something lacked. the only thing i remember about sivaji now is few of the songs.
thats what im afraid will happen again – two/three ‘jaambavans’ collaborating, there’s a risk of a ‘bad soup’ being served.
